As a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant, I sell Mary Kay skincare, body care, fragrances, and color cosmetics. I can also help women who are interested in starting their own Mary Kay business.
How many years have you been in business?
I'll be celebrating 30 years in December so I'm having special drawings all year long for the free product.
What motivates you?
Helping women feel good and look good motivates me. Teaching people how to take care of their skin is the most important part of my business.
Makeup is just the frosting on the cake as Mary Kay Ash put it.
As someone doing business in Decatur/Wise County, how does the Chamber help you?
The Chamber has always encouraged me and helped. Referrals are the lifeline of my business.
What’s an interesting fact about your business most people don’t know?
Mary Kay's global manufacturing facilities have achieved zero-landfill status. Mary Kay World Headquarters are located in Addison, Texas, and our Newest facility, Richard R. Rogers Manufacturing, and Research and Development Facility are located in Lewisville, TX. Oh, and tax money from my sales stays in Wise County so keep Shopping Local!
Do you have any advice for new business owners?
Attend as many Chamber events as possible to get to know everyone. Always bring your business cards!
When you’re not working, where in Decatur/Wise County, do you like to spend your time?
Our spare time is spent building our dream home. Just my husband and me and our 4 hands. So we spend a lot of time at all the local Hardware stores. Otherwise, we enjoy being at home. We do like to go to the swap meets and auctions at the Fairgrounds.
